According to initial reports reaching the Banaue police, the accident took place somewhere in remote Mayaoyao town or near the boundary of Mayaoyao and this town.


PO2 Joel Apolmon said the Banaue-bound passenger bus was negotiating a narrow and rugged mountain road when it fell off the cliff.  


The 30-seater bus had reportedly come from the Mayaoyao poblacion.
