                    [Summary] => Manila Mayor Lito Atienza ordered the closure of a beer joint on Taft Avenue for holding lewd shows in violation of city ordinances.


Atienza said Manila Square Garden and Super Club, located at 1988 Taft Avenue, Ermita, was padlocked yesterday by a composite team of the Western Police District-Special Operations Group.


He also directed the SOG team to file appropriate charges against the owner of the establishment, a certain Ramon Castro.


The mayor issued the order following numerous complaints from residents about the illegal activities of the establishment.
