Ecozones operated by the government contributed P7.292 billion to the total, or a robust 33-percent expansion from the 1999 income of P5.490 billion.
In particular, the Bataan Economic Zone posted a P674.59- million income in 2000, up P245.49 million from the previous years P429.10 million.
