An acquaintance confided that until now she is haunted with her past. She was badly treated by her stepmother when she was in her tender age. Every day, I realize more and more the importance of letting go, especially if you are a parent. As a self-confessed "control freak," this is certainly not something that's easy for me to do. Letting go and letting things "just be" are not actions that I can easily take.
