As provided for under Republic Act 957 and Batas Pambansa Bilang 344, buses are required to reserve seats for the senior citizens, PWDs and pregnant women.

May we call the attention of all concerned that giving priority or discount to senior citizens with any valid government-issued ID showing  the age of the holder is enough, I had this experience with the conductor of  Saulog bus no. 782 bound for Olongapo on September 6  who insisted he will only honor a Senior Citizen ID.

Despite the law giving priority to senior citizens, persons with disability, and pregnant women we can see seats in buses reserved for them are occupied by normal passengers.
