                    [Summary] => The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said yesterday that despite the recent round of increase in oil prices, the national average inflation rate for May is expected to remain flat at 3.6 percent due to stable prices in basic commodities.


BSP Governor Rafael Buenaventura told reporters yesterday that oil prices no longer have a direct impact on domestic prices and the impact of the El Niño weather phenomenon would not be felt until long after it actually hits.
