Isuzu Corp. Philippines said they will shut down their operations today (April 18) until the beginning of May because of parts supply problems.

The challenging year of 2009 is not entirely devoid of inspiring and positive stories. Isuzu Philippines Corp. and Isuzu Auto Parts Manufacturing Corp. helped celebrate the first anniversary of the TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center in Tacloban, Leyte, which Isuzu Motors Limited of Japan funded.

"We would like to keep that market share as a better target. Share is what matters," Ken Takashima, Isuzu Phils. vice president for marketing and sales, said.
