[Title] => EDITORIAL - Cebuanos shamed more than Binay
[Summary] => Vice President Jejomar Binay was greeted by a smattering of boos when he stood on stage to greet Cebuanos at the end of the Sinulog Mass at Abellana last Sunday. Some said the boos were too few for even Binay himself to hear. Still, it is not a question of how many or how loud. The fact that he was booed at all does not speak well of Cebuanos and the Sinulog.

[Title] => Exploring Europes biggest urban park
[Summary] =>
Dec. 28 provided us a respite from the cold clutches of winter chill. The bright sun drew us out of our somber moods and sent us out with thousands of Dubliners to explore the sights and thrills of Phoenix Park, reportedly Europes biggest urban park.
This was also where the late Pope John Paul II held the World Youth Day, drawing to Ireland hundreds of thousands of the worlds Catholic youth. A giant white cross marks the site.

[Title] => EDSA I, not boxing
[Summary] => Boxing in professional prize-fighting is immoral. And we are glorifying it as a Christian nation! This saddens me deeply, so allow me to explain the reality objectively, at my own risk. I am linking all this with todays Gospel event (Mk. 1:40-45) that pictures for us the ever-compassionate Christ, the foremost advocate of active non-violence, which we successfully embraced to topple a dictatorship at EDSA I. The whole world looked up to us then with disbelief and admiration. And we even did it again at EDSA II, guided by no less than the Lord Himself.
