DAVAO CITY — Mayor Rodrigo Duterte yesterday confirmed the reported assassination plot against House Majority Floor Leader Prospero Nograles (first district, Davao City).


"The assassination plot is not a political gimmickry. It is true. And I do not want Nograles to die. We will do our best to protect him," the mayor said.

Duterte said the intelligence information on the assassination plot did not only come from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) but also from other police and military intelligence units.
