A Metro Rail Transit (MRT) train stopped between the rail line’s Guadalupe and Buendia stations at around noon yesterday.

Television reports said the accident occured along the northbound track between the Santolan and Ortigas MRT stations at around 9 p.m.

Witnesses said the victim was a "rugby boy." Police reportedly found bottles of rugby near the scene of the incident.

Authorities said that the victim may have been high on rugby and jumped from a nearby flyover onto the tracks.
