The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the dismissal from government service of a former president of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) for gross negligence arising from bidding irregularities in the purchase of five Cessna planes in 2008.

The dismissed president of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (Philsca) tagged as responsible for the forging of an alleged grossly disadvantageous land swap deal, was arrested by Pasay City police operatives Monday at the Pasay Hall of Justice.

PhilSCA College president Enerico Sampang, in a statement, congratulated the Department of Justice and the Pasay City police for the "efficiency of meting out justice, the vindication of truth in establishing the rule of law."

The employees were led by Noel Navigar, HRM oficer for 15 years and Estrella Yago, the school librarian and head of the non-teaching union.
