33 nabbed for closing down Pasay school

-
Thirty-three employees of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics were arrested yesterday for closing down the school in Pasay City, the only state supported aviation school in the country.

PhilSCA College president Enerico Sampang, in a statement, congratulated the Department of Justice and the Pasay City police for the "efficiency of meting out justice, the vindication of truth in establishing the rule of law."

The employees were led by Noel Navigar, HRM oficer for 15 years and Estrella Yago, the school librarian and head of the non-teaching union.

The warrant of arrest stems from the mass action of the group which abused the freedom of expression by allegedly engaging in a hate campaign against the newly elected college president who charged the conspirators of "grave coercion".

Bail was set at P12,000 each for each of the accused. Arraignment is scheduled for April 6 before Judge Estrella Paas of Pasay MTC Branch 44.
