Police Officer 3 Buenaventura dela Cuesta said the victim, Elpidio Cruz, 48, of 23, Purok 6-B, was talking to a friend when Vicente Gando, 33, of Silang, Cavite, stabbed him on the left side of the body near the armpit.

"The suspect used a 29-inch kitchen knife but it may have punctured Cruz’ heart," De la Cuesta said.
