The Office of the Solicitor General has filed with the Supreme Court (SC) motion for the lifting of an order restraining the release of cash dividends to a block of San Miguel Corp. (SMC) shares held by the Coconut Industry Investment Fund (CIIF) Oil Mills Group.

An umbrella group representing more than a million coconut farmers has urged the government to pursue the timely conversion of its sequestered San Miguel Corp.
