I was very disturbed to see yet another giant billboard polluting my vision last week, but this time with a very graphic picture of a face decorated with rivulets of blood. It was for a horror movie called The Hills Have Eyes. I have long lamented the change in traffic jam scenery from simply polluted to over-polluted, thanks to the proliferation of in-your-face billboards. But this one takes the cake. Is there no official body that monitors what goes out there?

[Title] => Erap far from paralyzed
[Summary] => Ousted President Joseph Estrada is "far from being paralyzed" despite the arthritis in his knees, his physician told the court late Wednesday.
Dr. Tyrone Reyes told a special division of the Sandiganbayan that Estrada would have a hard time walking, but he would not be paralyzed as he could still move his knees.
Quoting Reyes, Deputy Special Prosecutor Robert Kallos said: "The possibility of a paralysis is nil since this would entail the loss of feeling in his limbs."

[Title] => Erap wants to visit mom again
[Summary] => Ousted President Joseph Estrada is seeking permission from the Sandiganbayan to visit his ailing mother at the San Juan Medical Center on her 99th birthday on May 2.
In exchange for that privilege, Estrada told The STAR that he would not ask for a furlough when he celebrates his 67th birthday on April 19 and that he would be happy to remain at his place of detention at the Armys Camp Capinpin in Tanay, Rizal.
"Mas importante ang birthday ni mama," he said, referring to the family matriarch Mary Marcelo-Ejercito.

[Title] => Estrada wants to visit ailing mom
[Summary] => Ousted President Joseph Estrada now wants to visit his 98-year-old mother in her home in North Greenhills, San Juan.
Noel Malaya, one of Estradas court-appointed lawyers, said Doña Mary Marcelo-Ejercito, who is "often sick," has been asking that her son visit her once a week.
"In a society that would be compassionate, if the situation of one or few is ameliorated, the response should be not to criticize, but to expand, such treatment," he said.
