[Title] => What is there to crow about a rooster with a gender-identity problem?
[Summary] => When I first heard of National Artist for Literature Dr. Alejandro Roces prize-winning book being transformed into a play by his former protégé and executive director of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Cecile Guidote-Alvarez, my reaction was one of sheer delight though tinged with a bit of cynicism. Wouldnt it be a suicidal exercise to transfer the masterpiece to an entirely different genre and not lose something in transit? And to a musical genre at that?

[Title] => Plumbing the erotic
[Summary] => Its been a week since the holy one, so I suppose were safely out of politically or piously incorrect territory for this discussion.
One more caveat Id have to admit is the fear of severe misim-pression: that the speaker has valid claims for assuming the dubious position of an expert in matters erotic.
Lets just say that Ive been placed in this awkward role through sheer happenstance. It just so happens that I have recently edited or helped edit two forthcoming publications that thematically group erotic Philippine literature in English.
