[Title] => UAAP: La Salle must take leave from all sports
[Summary] => The UAAP board yesterday turned down La Salles request for a leave of absence from basketball in the incoming season of the UAAP, saying if it is to take a leave, it has to be from all sports in the league.
"League rules have it that any member school has the right to take a leave of absence from the league," Dr. Ricardo Matibag, UAAP Season 68 secretary treasurer, said in a statement. "But if one member has to take a leave of absence, it has to be in the entirety of the league."

[Title] => Big relief for La Salle: Case not on agenda
[Summary] => The UAAP board did not tackle anything about the ongoing investigation of an ad hoc committee on alleged spurious academic documents of two La Salle players simply because it was not on the agenda.
Only taken up in the regular meeting attended by representatives of the UAAP member schools at the Casino Espanol yesterday were the league rules, transactions and other matters concerning the holding of the UAAP competitions for the second semester.

[Title] => Illiteracy and an unfit judge
[Summary] => Heres an interesting, if not intriguing, letter from a reader named Clint ([email protected]) reacting to our recent column on Houston Rockets assistant coach Pat Ewing. The letter was forwarded by Amanda Sandoval of [email protected].
The column related how Ewing waved off sports broadcaster Janelle So who asked for his autograph after the Rockets game against Portland at the Rose Garden last Dec. 11.

[Title] => UAAP not relaxing rules for PBA draft
[Summary] => Stars of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) will have to choose between their commitment with their schools or a career as pros if they want to join the forthcoming Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Draft.
The UAAP, according to Season 68 president Fr. Maximino Rendon of general host Adamson, could not relax its norms covering the status of its athletes, especially in mens basketball.
"Amendments to rules and regulations are done only in our April board meeting, not anytime in the season," said Rendon yesterday.

[Title] => UAAP o PBA ?
