[Title] => Jamming for a cause
[Summary] =>
Its always a delight when people come together for a noble cause. The recent RJs Rock and Jam Against Cancer Concert at RJTV Bar in Jupiter St., Makati gathered overwhelming support from generous talents such as Philippine rock and roll icon RJ Jacinto, the multi-awarded top balladeer and composer Jose Mari Chan, acoustic musicians Pido and Paolo Santos, beautiful songstress Aliya Parcs, sexy comedienne and singer Giselle Sanchez, gifted flutist Jong Cuenco and the psychedelic rock group The Haneps.

[Title] => Line of greatest resistance
[Summary] => People refusing to change the charter or to "cha-cha" are not really allergic to it.They are more sensitive to the amendments being proposed.The line of greatest resistance is drawn in sharper strokes on the proposed shift in the form of government.This is the bottom line of the raging debate.One side says that the nations ills are not due to the presidential system composed of the legislative, executive and the judiciary now in place.It is not the system but the people manning it who must undergo reforms.

[Title] => Once again, why dont we simply abolish the S
[Summary] => It has long been my contention in this corner that the Senate ought to be abolished, not just so the taxpayer can save some money, but because the Senate has become just another layer of delay and bureaucracy hampering legislation sent up to it by the House of Representatives.
During the Commonwealth period, just before World War II, the country got along very well, thank you, with a unicameral legislature, the National Assembly. (This was the body which produced almost all of the great Senators of the post-war, post-Independence decade, anyway.)
