[Title] => SC ruling on poll automation expected
[Summary] => Will the countrys first computerized elections finally push through or be stopped by the Supreme Court?
Various sectors are awaiting the Supreme Courts decision on several petitions seeking to stop the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from implementing the poll automation project due to alleged irregularities in the bidding won by the Mega Pacific Consortium (MPC).

[Title] => Special audit to be made on Comelec expenses
[Summary] => The Commission on Audit (COA) will conduct a special audit of Commission on Elections (Comelec) expenses after four commissioners of the poll body reported that Chairman Alfredo Benipayo had gone on two foreign trips without the proper travel authority.
