[Title] => Valentine blues & reds
[Summary] => Ive always associated Valentines Day with dread. Despite my unbelievably good looks and irresistible charm, I always had difficulty getting a date for that red-letter day. In college and during my bachelor years, I would forego celebrating that special day for lovers by immersing myself in school or office work. Later, when I learned to channel my magnetic personality to getting women, I still avoided Valentines Day simply because of the hassles the celebration entails.

[Title] => A nostalgic trip down the strip
[Summary] => Driving up Roxas Boulevard from the airport recently sent me back in time. Theres nothing to see of the old Manila Bay along Parañaque and Pasay but on the opposite side, one can spy the remnants of nightclub and restaurant facades now lost amid the gaudy architecture of fast food and Korean karaoke joints. Stretches of the boulevard, except for the renovated Manila portion, now seem lost in urban limbo and destined to suffer the fate of most of our stripped-malled, billboard-infested roads.

[Title] => Troubled NSAs must take hint from winning karateka
[Summary] => KUALA LUMPUR "Leadership squabbles must not stop athletes from pursuing a mission to excel and serve the country well."
Thus said Philippine Sports Commission Chair Butch Tuason yesterday as he cited the heroics of karate-do athletes Jose Mari Pabillore and Gretchen Malalad in giving the Philippines its first two golds in the SEA Games as big lessons on how to buck the odds.
Tuason said that both Pabillore and Malalad are part of a karate-do association that was bugged by infighting even before the athletes left for Malaysia.

[Title] => Siizzling gambas & other appetizers
[Summary] => Hello there! I’m actually trying to get the recipe for gambas, preferably the one of Casa Marcos, which has been one of my all-time favorites. I’ve searched all over and have eaten at different Spanish restaurants around San Diego but nothing can even compare to that yummy taste of garlic and olive oil that only Casa Marcos makes!
