[Summary] => Traffic was snarled for almost an hour along EDSA in Mandaluyong City yesterday when a public utility bus bound for a Baclaran caught fire due to an overheated engine.
Nobody was hurt as passengers were able to alight from the bus before fire could engulf the vehicle.
Responding firemen contained the fire in less than 10 minutes.
The incident, however, created monstrous traffic in front of the Starmall on EDSA, FO2 Marcos Cabiso said.

Regional Trial Court Judge Olegario Sarmiento junked the defense of alibi posed by Estanislao "Junjun" Cabiso Jr., saying the denial of the accused could not overcome the positive identification of an eyewitness.
Cabiso said it was not he who gunned down Diomino Camiguing at a dance party because he was at the time of the incident sleeping at the stone craft factory in Mandaue City where he also worked.

The victim, Juanito Cabiso, 48, a businessman and resident of 50-4 San Juan street in Barangay Kapitolyo, sustained two gunshot wounds in the neck and stomach.
He died while being rushed to the Medical Center Hospital in Mandaluyong City.
The gunman, Alberto Valenzona, 58, businessman and neighbor of the victim, escaped after the incident and is now being hunted by the police.
