Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri announced the city government will be celebrating "Elderly Week 2006" starting today, Oct. 2.
Echiverri said activities would be held during the flag-raising ceremony in front of the Caloocan City Hall along A. Mabini street at 8 a.m.
He said the city government of Caloocan, through its Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), has initiated the activity to honor the senior citizens of the city, and to cite their valuable contribution in the development of Caloocan.
