[Summary] => LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A vice mayor and his police security narrowly escaped death when their service vehicle was fired upon by still unidentified gunmen before midnight last Sunday in Barangay Salay, Manaoag.
Reports reaching the Pangasinan PNP provincial office yesterday said the service vehicle of Manaoag vice mayor Pedrito Garcia, a Toyota Revo van, was fired upon by the still unidentified gunmen on board an L-300 van.
Luckily, Garcia was not hit and his police security PO2 Myro Torres was almost injured if not for his bullet-proof vest.
