Nest Workspaces 2013, FADI 2021, Puresteel 2011 go 4-0 in SHAABAA

CEBU, Philippines — Nest Workspaces Batch 2013, FADI 2021, and Puresteel Manufacturing Batch 2011 coasted to their fourth straight victory in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 27 over the weekend at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles Arena in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

In Division C, JJ Ong whipped up a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while six others hit twin figures as the defending champion Batch 2013 ruthlessly annihilated CSAS Batch 2024, 102-45.

Rendell Senining chipped in 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists, Emman Malazarte tallied 12 markers, four rebounds, and two assists, while Fletcher Galvez scored 11 on top of five boards for Batch 2013, which also drew 10 points each from Roland Go Bui and Chino Chua.

On the other hand, Batch 2021 pulled off a 55-53 squeaker over Cebu Landmasters/CloudKart Batch 2014 to join Batch 2013 on top of the table with perfect 4-0 slates.

Rey Marcus Fuentes IV showed the way for Batch 2021 with 11 points, five rebounds, and one steal.

Still in Division C, Lyder Kent Canieso delivered a scintillating all-around performance as Xchange Forex Batch 2018 pounded Global Star Motors Batch 2020, 78-54, while Philip Brandon Sainz dropped 22 points laced with 11 rebounds and three assists as GAB Airconditioning Batch 2023 finally barged into the win column with a 77-67 whacking of Bright Lamps N’ Style Batch 2022.

Canieso sizzled with 29 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block, while Xavier Tariman and Benedict Andre Chua connived for 25 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and four steals as Batch 2018 leveled its record at 2-2.

Kent Jason Dumandan, William Holan Baxter, and Rove Danielle Galan combined for 36 points as Batch 2023 snapped out of its three-game jinx.

Over in Division B, Bernard Chioson had a monster double-double show of 28 points and 13 rebounds as Batch 2011 crushed Radius One Batch 2007, 74-51, to stay unbeaten in four starts.

Bradley Bacaltos added 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals, while Franz Gabuya contributed 12 points, two rebounds, and three assists for Batch 2011.

In other result, Jan Galo unloaded 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists to power Subtero Batch 2006 to a 73-58 rout of the listless ZeroNine Batch 2009.

Mark Blanco tossed in 18 points, six rebounds, and four assists, Luis Yu posted 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Dangen Gendrauli cashed in 10 points and 14 rebounds for Batch 2006, which now holds an even 2-2 card. — (FREEMAN)
