President Marcos signs laws creating new LTO district offices

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has signed laws creating new district offices of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and upgrading several others in different areas in the country.

The new LTO district offices were established through Republic Acts 12125, 12126, 12127, 12128, 12133 and 12134.

RA 12125 converted an extension office of the LTO in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte into a regular district office, while RA 12126 created a new district office in Sulop, Davao del Sur.

RA 12127 converted the LTO extension office in the municipality of Gattaran, Cagayan, into a regular district office, while RA 12128 transformed the extension office of the LTO office in Taal, Batangas into a district office.

New district offices of the LTO were also established in Naguilian, La Union and Maayon, Capiz through RA 12133 and RA 12134, respectively.

The extension office of the LTO in Naguilian was converted into a class “D” district office.

RA 12129 upgraded the district office in the city of Digos in Davao del Sur from class “D” to class “C.”

RA 12130 converted the LTO Urdaneta office in Pangasinan into a class “A” district office, renaming the same as the LTO Binalonan District Office.

The office in Candon City, Ilocos Sur has been upgraded into a class “B” district office through RA 12131.

RA 12132, meanwhile, upgraded the LTO office in Lingayen, Pangasinan, into a class “B” district office.

The President signed the laws on March 14, copies of which were published in the Official Gazette on March 22.
