Tortosa resumes hunt of JPGT finals slot

MANILA, Philippines — Santa Barbara, Iloilo pride Necky Tortosa, a young golfer with only one arm, continues her pursuit of glory in the Junior Philippine Golf Tour, signing up for the JPGT Luzon Series 4 which gets going tomorrow at the Riviera Golf and Country Club in Silang, Cavite.

A senior at Santa Barbara National Comprehensive High School, Tortosa’s journey is one of resilience and inspiration.

“I really wanted to play golf. Kahit ganito ako, kaya ko pa din maglaro,” said Tortosa.

Despite yielding Match Play slots to Dominique Gotiong and Rhiena Sinfuego in the recent Visayas legs, Tortosa remains resolute in her pursuit of competing in the national finals.
