Karting’s ROK GP super series fires off
MANILA, Philippines — The country’s hottest karter, Bianca Bustamante, heads the starting grid this weekend when the 2019 Petron Blaze 100 ROK GP Super Karting Series fires off the new season with Races 1 and 2 at the Palawan International Circuit in Puerto Princesa City.
The 15-year-old reigning Asian Karting Open junior champion sets out to cement her place in senior racing as she guns for a two-round sweep in the ROK GP Blaze 100 class against Anthony Baisa, Jenn Tumambing, Princess Resuma and a host of other contenders.
Miguel Al Quinones and Tammy Baisa, two of the strongest performers in the recent Petron Blaze X30 Challenge Philippines series, backstop a talented field in the ROK GP 100 junior class that includes darkhorses Julio Trofeo and Tara Laconico in the opening pair of the six-leg racing season.
