Clinging on to a slim lead, Zamar made back-to-back crucial plays that sealed the fate of Blackwater Elite on Friday night.
The 31-year-old guard erased Meralco counterpart Anjo Caram’s shot in transition with 28 ticks left and then drilled a triple to send the game away from Bolts’ reach when the game clock read :09.

As if that those two executions weren’t cardiac enough, Zamar revealed he was actually playing on a contract that’s about to expire.
That being said, the crafty cager, whose name became familiar after a stellar outing in the Asean Basketball League, stressed that he’s only delivering what is asked of him.
Zamar's latest performance comes just weeks after the one that earned him Player of the Game citation. In that outing, Blackwater defeated Barangay Ginebra—which remains the Gin Kings' only loss this conference.
Zamar and the Elite will shoot for another victory this Sunday against the listless Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in a bit to keep their hold of the conference lead. The game is at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
