MANILA, Philippines — Alaska extended Rain or Shine's misery in the season-ending conference, fashioning out a 106-89 decision in the nightcap of Wednesday's PBA hostilities at the Big Dome.
Aces' foreign reinfrocement Mike Harris had a monstrous game adorned with 39 points and 25 rebounds—the most markers and corrals for anybody on the floor that night.
"He's one heck of a player," Alaska mentor Alex Compton said of his import. "We made stops and we made shots."
Alaska's latest exploit puts them side-by-side Barangay Ginebra, Magnolia, and Blackwater as the only teams to only have absorbed a single loss in the Governors' Cup. The Aces are now tied with the Elite at No. 2 with a 4-1 card.
Alaska's lone defeat came in the hands of the Gin Kings on Sept. 2—their last game prior the win.
Rain or Shine, despite their star and firepower, remain listless in the Governors' Cup.
