MANILA, Philippines -- Glen Khobuntin was named FIBA 3x3 World Championships Player of the Day after his impressive performance in two games.

Khobuntin came in as a substitute in their come-from-behind win against sixth-seed Romania, 21-19. He replaced Russell Escoto, who hurt his shoulder after colliding with a Romanian.

In their second game, however, the Philippines lost to Spain, 16-21.

Khobountin, Mac Belo and Karl Dehesa will still face Poland and Hungary on Friday to wrap up the eliminations. The top two teams in each pool will advance to the next round.

Aside from the 3x3 tournament, Dehesa will also compete in the Shoot-out Contest while it is unsure if Escoto will participate in the dunk contest.
