AdU edges DLS-Z, paces Milcu caging

MANILA, Philippines – Adamson held off De La Salle-Zobel, 58-55, to stay unbeaten in the 15-under division of the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard basketball tournament at Lyceum gym recently.

Andrei Doria fired 10 points and hauled down eight rebounds to power the Baby Falcons to their fourth straight victory in the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Marist School crushed La Salle College Antipolo, 71-33, to seize control in the 12-U division of the tournament backed by Kawasaki, Gatorade, LGR, Slam, Mighty Sports, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Secret Fresh Ronac, Coach Athletic Trainer’s Tape, Magic 89.9, Enderun Colleges and Lyceum.

Jacob Militar sizzled with 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds and dished off five steals for Marist, which surged ahead with a 5-1 record.

In the other 12-U section result, Xavier School dominated Malolos Rabbits, 81-22, with Riley Ong leading the attack with 14 points.

In the 25-U category, Centro Escolar University-B thumped La Salle College Antipolo, 74-36; Enderun Colleges edged Lyceum-Grey, 57-56, National University trounced Adamson, 43-34; and De Ocampo Memorial Colleges downed CEU-A, 65-47.

NU smothered La Salle-Zobel, 55-31, while University of Santo Tomas stamped its class over the Skyhawk South Ballers, 75-35, in the 13-U division.
