MANILA, Philippines – UAE Royals' Ana Ivanovic met little resistance on her opening match in the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open women's single.
The Serbian netter easily dispatched Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru, 6-1, 6-3.
"At the beginning of the first set in the first game I was a little nervous, but luckily I wasn't behind for long," Ivanovic was quoted saying in a report by WTATennis.com.
"I'm really happy to get the win and be in the second round here," the No. 9 seed added.
