F5WC football tiff draws 48 countries

MANILA, Philippines – A total of 48 countries are participating in this year's F5WC, with the World Finals to be held in Dubai from April 9 to 11.

F5WC Philippines is the local qualifying leg of tournament with Football Manila as the local and licensed organizers. Qualifying tournaments will be held all around Luzon and will culminate in the country finals to be held in Metro Manila.

F5WC is the world's first-ever international indoor 5-a side tournament created and managed by Sports Events International, and presented by Ford. The tournament is open to all male amateur players aged 16 and over who share the passion for “the beautiful game” and the eagerness to showcase their skill at the world stage.

The winning team of F5WC Philippines will have the chance to represent the country and go on an all-expense paid trip to the F5WC 2015 World Championships in Dubai.

The competition is open to any amateur 5-a side football team composed of males, 16 years old and above, who are holders of a valid passport may enter the competition. All participants must be a resident of the country they are representing; with at least 3 out of the maximum 7 players in the line-up citizens of the qualifying country. There are no restrictions on nationality as long as the threshold requirements for the 3 players are met.

The F5WC tournament is strictly for non-professional football players.

The winning team from each country will receive:

  • 7 round-trip tickets to Dubai
  • 5-star hotel accommodations
  • Home & Away national kits, tracksuits, training top & kit bag
  • F5WC welcome packs
  • Inclusive of all meals and transportation between the airport, hotel, and playing venue
