Pacquiao dedicates Floyd bout to fans

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao on Saturday acknowledged his fans who he believes were instrumental in finally making a super fight between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr. possible.

Pacquiao took to Twitter to express delight that his bout with Mayweather is a go on May 2.

He vowed to “bring glory to the Philippines.”

I dedicate this fight to all the fans who willed this fight to happen and, as always, to bring glory to the Philippines.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout finally became official after Mayweather himself announced it early Saturday on the social networking website Shots. Moments later, tickets to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas – which will stage the fight – were reportedly sold out. - Dino Maragay
