MINNEAPOLIS — Kevin Love says he isn't expecting a warm welcome when he plays in Minnesota for the first time since he was traded to Cleveland.
The Cavaliers visit the Timberwolves on Saturday night. Love says he expects to hear plenty of boos.
Love spent six years in Minnesota before he was traded to Cleveland last summer. He supplanted Kevin Garnett as the face of the Timberwolves franchise, but the team never made the playoffs.
Love asked for a trade last summer. The Wolves received Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young in return.
Love says he expects a reception similar to the one he got early in his career in Portland. Fans booed him there because the Oregon native chose to go to college at UCLA.
