Kobe Paras spectacular in LA Cathedral's 4th straight win

MANILA, Philippines -- Kobe Paras showed no ill effects of a recent sprained ankle injury as he showed impressive form in LA Cathedral High School Phantoms' 82-63 thumping of Serra High School Cavaliers on Friday (Saturday Manila time) in their first home win of the season.

Paras, who only scored two points in his return from injury in a 57-50 win against Cantwell-Sacred Heart, bounced back with 19 big points that included several highlight reels.

Senior Leandro Amador topscored with 20 points but it was Paras who brought the packed house down with three spectacular dunks. It was the Phantoms' fourth straight win and two in a row since Paras returned to the lineup as they improved to 16-3 win-loss overall record.

The 17-year old son of former PBA Rookie-MVP Benjie Paras has been impressive both on and off the court as he was recently named to the LA Cathedral's honor roll along with five of his Phantoms teammates.
