Neil Frankland - The Philippine Star

MELBOURNE, Australia — Hamza Aldaradreh scored four goals and set up another as Jordan kept its Asian Cup hopes alive with a 5-1 win over the Palestinian team on Friday.

Jordan opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through midfielder Yousef Ahmad Mohammad.

Hamza scored himself just over a minute later and the forward scored his second goal in first-half stoppage time with a volley past goalkeeper Ramzi Saleh.

Hamza completed his hat trick in the 75th minute, and brought up his fourth five minutes later.

The Palestinians scored a first-ever Asian Cup goal when midfielder Jaka Hbaisha completed a set piece in the 85th minute.

Jordan shares the Group D lead with three points ahead of the match between fellow leaders Japan and Iraq later Friday. Palestine is eliminated after two losses.
