MANILA, Philippines - The national poomsae team turned in another worthy performance in the ninth World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship, winning three gold, two silver and three bronze medals in Aguascalientes, Mexico recently.
The Filipinos dominated the Seniors 2 men’s team, team freestyle and individual male freestyle and finished second in the pair freestyle and Senior 2-male individual in another impressive showing that netted them fifth place among 46 countries.
The junior female individual, the junior female freestyle and the men’s team delivered the three bronzes for Team Philippines, according to head coach Igor Mella.
