Domingo eyes Asian plum

MANILA, Philippines - After clinching the Petron Blaze 100 Karter of the Year recently, seasoned karter Bobby Domingo of Formula-E Racing hopes 2014 proves as his banner year as he sets his eyes on the overall crown of the 2014 Asian Karting Open Championships Series which the Philippines hosts for the second time this weekend  at the Carmona Racetrack in  Cavite.

Domingo captured the premier Formula 125 Open Seniors plum last August  in the previous Asian karting race here duly sanctioned and approved by the world governing Commission Internationale de Karting – Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (CIK-FIA) and local governing body Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), and sponsored by Petron, Yokohama (the official tires) and Motorstar,

Another sweep of the pre-final and final race could fulfill one of his ardent wishes on his Christmas list.

He pivoted the country’s sweep of the Asian Karting titles along with Formula 125 Open Juniors champion Jacob Ang of Eagle Cement and Asian Mini-ROK winner Eduardo Coseteng Jr. and the victory boosted Domingo’s quest for the distinction as the Asian karting king.
