Asian, Euro aces vie in FV8 2nd leg

MANILA, Philippines - Top caliber race drivers from all over Asia and Europe are coming to the Philippines to participate in the 2nd leg of the First Asian V8 and Philippine National V8 Championships on June 7 and 8 at the Rosario Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.

Presented by the Philippine Formula Autosports Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, the competition will use the same V8 type of a car used in NASCAR competitions and will feature both teams and individual drivers. The latter will pit skills against the first-ever Filipino EURO NASCAR Racing Champion, 30 year-old Enzo Pastor, who won the 2013 Euro NASCAR Championship in 6 countries in Europe.

Enzo Pastor is also the first to win a Hall of Fame Award in North Carolina, home of USA NASCAR.

PFAFI, founded by Tomas Pastor, funded and paved the way for the Federal International Automobilia (FIA) accreditation for the Clark International Speedway (CIS) Grade 4 Certified, through joint initiatives with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).

The national organization also acquired eight Asian V8 race cars as part of the investment on the country’s development as an international motorsports hub.
