MANILA, Philippines - National players Ariel Magnaye and Paul Vivas and Golden Shuttlers Foundation’s Dia Nicole Magno and Gelita Castilo won the doubles open of the 2014 Prima Pasta Badminton Championship recently at the Powersmash badminton courts in Makati.
Magnaye and Vivas ripped fellow national players Joper Escueta and Ronel Estanislao, 21-14, 21-17, to cop the men’s doubles title open of the annual event supported by the MVP Sports Foundation and SMART Sports.
Ateneo’s Magno and Castilo retained the women’s doubles open crown for the fourth straight year by beating Jessie Francisco and Christine Inlayo of Philippine team, 23-21, 21-18.
