Falcons, Bulldogs dispute solo lead in UAAP softball

MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Adamson University and National University dispute the solo lead as they clash today at resumption of UAAP Season 76 softball tournament at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Both unbeaten in three games, the Lady Falcons and the Lady Bulldogs clash in a rematch of last year’s championship at 12 noon.

In other games, University of the Philippines takes on winless Ateneo at 8 a.m., while University of Santo Tomas takes on De La Salle at 10 a.m.

The Lady Maroons and the Tigresses are in joint third at 2-1, while the Lady Archers are toting a 1-2 slate. La Salle is tied with UE in fifth place.

Still looking for a win are the last-place Lady Eagles, who are languishing at the cellar with a 0-4 card.

Aside from eyeing the top spot, Adamson is staking its 37-game winning streak, the longest in any sport in the league. Only on its second year in softball play, NU is making huge strides, finishing second last season.  The Lady Bulldogs were swept by the Lady Falcons in the finals.
