Nuvali Cup Ultimate All-Star to feature top football teams

MANILA, Philippines - The Nuvali Cup 2013 Ultimate All-Star Weekend will be held this weekend at The Fields in Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna with the best football teams, including Division A clubs from Metro Manila and the south vying for the chance to play in the annual International Ultimate Tournament with the Manila Spirits.

The event will also feature an exhibition match between “The Young Ones” and “The Young Once” together with skills competitions.

More than 100 teams took part in the first leg of the Nuvali Cup last month with Laguna FA president Joey Lina, Azkals Nate Burkey and Simon Greatwich, and Nuvali associate marketing manager Jen Chua gracing the event.

Atletico Diliman topped the Player 6 and Boys’ 8 divisions, the Los Baños FS Hawks reigned in the Boys’ 10, the Don Bosco-Canlubang booters dominated the Boys’ 12, and the Green Barons ruled the Boys’ 14 and 17 Divisions.

Los Baños FS Phoenix, meanwhile, prevailed in the Girls’ 17 and the Pata team took the Ladies Open crown and the Futbol Filipinas Academia ruled the Men’s Open. The third leg of the Nuvali Cup Southern Classic Baseball and Softball Championships will be played Oct. 12-13.
