Erase Xfoliant’s role in basketball: Passion more than anything else

MANILA, Philippines - In so many ways, basketball has become a part of Filipino culture.

As a de facto national sport, the game had become the Pinoys’ favorite past time and they used this as a medium to bring everyone together to a common goal – unity, success, friendship, bonding, brotherhood and promotions.

For Erase Xfoliant, whose group has entered the consciousness of Pinoys through its involvement in the sport, basketball is more of passion, an undying love for the game.

“More than anything else, it’s passion,” said Erase Xfoliant team owner Louie Gamboa.

So it’s not surprising to see Gamboa and his group supporting one team after another because of their undying passion for the game.

After making its mark in the now defunct Philippine Basketball League, Erase Xfoliant brought its act in the PBA D-League, supporting future stars.

In the collegiate leagues, Erase Xfoliant made its presence felt as well, not just lending support to teams it had chosen but also acting as “lucky charm.”

They have started supporting the Arellano University Chiefs, the Letran Knights, and the San Beda Red Lions in the NCAA while also backing the UST Tigresses and the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the UAAP.

“So far, we’re happy that the teams we are supporting are doing good in their respective leagues,” added Gamboa.

Erase Xfoliant’s support was clearly felt game after game. Gamboa and his group make it a point to be there, cheering from the sidelines and being among those actively encouraging players to give their best during the match. Big heads of players they’re supporting were also created as one way of motivating them, thus helping the team get a win while tarpaulins and streamers were also visible during game days, making the brand closely attached to the schools they’re supporting.

More than attaching themselves to teams that bring in a winning culture, Erase Xfoliant’s main thrust is to be involved with schools that uphold great desire and attitude.
