The Altas waylaid the EAC Generals, 69-49, then defused the Jose Rizal U Bombers, 78-70, in an auspicious start for the Las Piñas-based squad out to improve on its Final Four finish last year. Another win in their 6 p.m. encounter will keep Perpetual in step with frontrunning Letran, unbeaten in three starts.
The Knights escaped with a 69-66 overtime win over the Bombers last Saturday to break off a tie with the Altas.
