Get Ready for Outbreak Manila on April 13, 2013

March 15, 2013, Manila - Fans of Outbreak Manila are preparing their zombie survival skills yet again for the fourth installment of the much-anticipated thrill run. Outbreak Manila is a 5-kilometer zombie-infested obstacle course that has instilled fear in over 22,000 runners since its inception last year.

Outbreak Manila will hold its anniversary run on April 13, 2013 at the Bonifacio Global City from 6pm until 12midnight. Organizer Angelo Cruz of Runtertainment Inc. says, “Our zombies have missed the screams of the runners. They are ready to chase and we can assure you--One year later, it will not be any easier”.

So how exactly does one survive an Outbreak? The simple and best answer is to run as fast as you can. But the key to staying “alive” is by finishing with at least one life flag intact. How? Each runner is given a belt with three red life flags. For one night, the zombies trade in brains for flags, and will do anything and everything to grab these flags from the runners. But do not worry because as exciting as all this sounds, any form of physical contact and violence are not allowed.

Registration is ongoing at Brooks SM North Edsa; RUNNR Bonifacio Global City and Alabang Town Center; The Move at Bonifacio Global City; and Toby’s Shangri-La, Glorietta, SM MOA, Ermita. Aside from the thrill of their lives, participants get an Outbreak Manila souvenir shirt, a waterproof race bib, a belt with three life flags, and a loot bag. A medal also awaits those who finish “alive” or with at least one life flag left.

Outbreak Manila is presented by its official hydration partner Summit and 100 Plus, its official venue partner Bonifacio Global City, and Runtertainment Inc.; in cooperation with Avida, Boardwalk, Booster C, Burnwater Art Design, Impact High Performance Whey Protein, and Make-Up Design Academy; and brought to us by Brooks, Burlington, ClickTheCity.com, Coleman, Gala, Greenwich, Hawk Backpacks, Mellow 94.7, Mogu-Mogu, Philstar.com, RUNNR, Sappe Beauti Drink, Solar Sports, Symbol Science, Toby’s and WhenInManila.com.
