Erap leads celebs, stars in Stags Run 3

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Former President Joseph Estrada leads the stars and celebrities taking part in the Stags Run 3 dubbed “Takbo Para Sa Bokasyon” slated on Jan. 13 at the Aseana City near the Mall of Asia and Macapagal Boulevard.

The former Chief Executive will be joined by his staff in the annual run that is continuously drawing interests despite limiting its participants to San Sebastian College-Recoletos students, employees, officials and alumni.

“Former President Joseph Estrada has confirmed his participation in our race,” said San Sebastian president Fr. Christopher Maspara, OAR. “It’s a big boost in our event and our hopes of generating funds to help our apostolate missions here and abroad.”

Maspara was referring to the school’s efforts to fund their apostolates as far as Sierra Leone in West Africa.

“We’re expecting a bigger, more exciting race this year,” said Maspara, who has been at the helm of the race not just for charitable purposes but also to encourage their students, employees and alumni to run for good health.

“We’re not just funding our apostolates here and abroad but we’re also promoting a healty lifestyle to students, officials and even alumni,” he added.

Registration, which is pegged at P500 each inclusive of bib number and singlet, starts next week and ends on Jan. 8 and will only be open to all San Sebastian students, staffs, alumni and their relatives.

Aside from President Estrada, former students and Stags expected to support the event and participate are JC Tiuseco, Calvin Abueva, Ian Sangalang and Rommel Adducul among others, who will be at the race that will fire off at 4 a.m.
