Haribon’s run, go native set

MANILA, Philippines - Haribon marks its 40th foundation anniversary by holding a Million Hectare Challenge fun run, a run for a cause event on Nov. 25 at Liwasang Ullalim ground of the CCP complex in Pasay City.

The event aims to promote Haribon’s ROAD (Rainforestation Organizations and Advocates) to 2020 Program, which will gather, and rally support from its various affiliates and donors as it highlights 40 years of achievements and assessing its future plans.

This year’s theme – Run and Go Native – I Care, I Nature. I Shape the Future – will have simultaneous runs in 500m, 3k, 5k and 10k with the field to include health enthusiasts, environmental advocates and the likes to raise awareness on the Philippine forests and highlighting the country’s native tress in a fun and educational manner.

Fee is pegged at P500 for adults and P350 for children 12 years old and below with Haribon members getting a discounted rate of P450 and groups of 40 and more for P475 per person. Schools can also send a minimum of 103 students for a special rate of P100 per person.
