Playa Laiya hosts triathlon June 30

MANILA, Philippines - A full weekend of triathlon action and fun will resume at scenic Playa Laiya in San Juan, Batangas with the staging of Tri United 2 on June 30 and July 1. 

Organized by Bike King headed by Raul Cuevas in cooperation with Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP), the event, the second of three triathlon events, features two distances that seasoned triathletes can choose from.

These are the sprint distance of 1K swim-30 K bike-7 K run and the long course (2K swim-60 K bike-15 K run). The long course categories include the elite male and female Open, team event, relay and male and female age-groups. The sprint distance covers another set of male and female age-groups.

At stake in the event sponsored by Unilab Active Health, Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto, Alaxan FR, Playa Laiya, Enervon HP, Hydrite, I-ON Energy Drink, Landco, Bikeking, Pocari Sweat, Timex, Crystal Clear, Orbea, Explore Bohol, Corima, Runner’s World, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, PLDT SME Nation, Aboitiz Power, Weekend Warrior and SwimBikeRun.ph are cash prizes worth P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000 for the Top 3 elite male and Top 3 elite female winners and gift items and medals for age-group category winners.

Also up for grabs are points for the top 20 male, female age-group and team category finishers covering the entire trilogy.
