FEU Tamaraws vs NU Bulldogs

The FEU Tamaraws held on to win an exciting 84-82 decision over the NU Bulldogs in double overtime for their seventh victory in the 74th UAAP men’s basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum today.

The Tamaraws and the Bulldogs figured in a highly competitive game that saw a number of lead changes, but the former started out strong in the second extension period to escape with the pulsating win.

RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo scored on pivotal fast-break layups to give FEU a four-point edge, 83-79, halfway through the second overtime.

Joseph Terso had the chance to steal the game but missed on a three-point attempt as clock expired.

Aldrech Ramos scored 19 points, including two crucial triple in the fourth quarter, to spearhead the Tams, who are currently at solo third place with a 7-4 record.

The Morayta-based squad is a game behind Adamson and league-leading Ateneo.

Sensational rookie Ray Parks had another monster game, exploding for a career-high 32 points – his third 30-plus-point outing.
